The Reading Hour Sat 24th August 5-6pm

Can we hit Australia’s critically low literacy rate for a six in just 10 minutes a day? Absolutely. The now annual Reading Hour celebration is being held this Saturday between 5 and 6pm. Spreading the simple message to “Take a break and read a book or share a book with your children 10 minutes a day, an hour a week, and give them the gift of reading” is the aim. If you can only manage 10 minutes a day from an early age, you will still give your child the best chance of becoming a good reader, along with all the social and educational benefits that brings. So what will you be reading for The Reading Hour? Let us know……
