
Pageturners Book Club at Orange City Library
Each month we discover different authors, topical themes and thought-provoking reads! The group usually meets at Orange City Library (ground floor) on the second Wednesday of the month at two sessions 12.30pm to 1.30pm; and 5.30pm to 7 pm. Current meetings are limited to 12 participants. Please RSVP online at eventbrite.com or call 6393 8132. We also welcome your reading suggestions especially for 2026!!!
Upcoming meetings:
- 12 November – Join us at the Daytime discussion at 12.30pm to talk about The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah, and the Evening Group at 5.30pm to talk about Searching for Charmain by Suzanne Chick at 5.30pm – 7pm, both at Orange City Library.
- 10 December – talk about Searching for Charmain by Suzanne Chick at the Pageturners Daytime meeting in December and The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah at the Evening Group meeting at 5.30pm – 7pm. We will also be doing our usual “Kris Kringle” where we bring along a book (we’ll pop them into paper bags) to swap among Pageturners!!! So remember – bring a book you can part with.

Save the date for a special Book Club event: State Library of NSW Big Book Club Chat with Demelza from Collins Booksellers and Jasmine from Central West Libraries on favourite Book Club books and what makes a great Book Club read, there will be new books to see and check out, and a Livestream with the 3 hosts of the State Library’s Friends’ Book Club – Roanna Gonsalves, Jonty Claypole and Sophie Gee at Orange City Library on Friday 28 November at 5pm – 7pm. New Book Club – Friday Book Banter
Love books, but don’t want the pressure of assigned reading?
We have started Friday Book Banter with Librarian Antariksa and it is a relaxed space for book lovers to share what they’re reading, discover new books, swap favourite reads, and connect with fellow readers over afternoon tea—no required reading list, just great conversation!
*Join us on the second Friday of every month at Orange Library, 5.30–6.30pm.

Expect book discussions to include a mix of different themes and topics.

inklings – a book club for kids @Orange City Library
We also have book clubs at Orange Library that cater to our younger readers, who meet up every month. Are you a bookworm? Just can’t put a good story down? Do you tell anyone and everyone about your latest great read? Our kids Book Club, inklings, is for you. Read the suggested book, or pick any book up from the library, and read it ahead of our meeting. Maybe you loved it, maybe not! Your opinion matters and we want to hear it! Activities, discussion and afternoon tea await you at our gathering, where you can borrow the next book and meet other keen readers. Inklings – for 7-12 year-olds meet 2nd Monday of the month during school terms, at Orange City Library, from 4pm – 5.30pm.
