Big Book Club suggested holiday reading

Every festive season The Daily Telegraph Big Book Club takes the opportunity to select titles that reflect and celebrate the wealth and diversity of literature from days gone by. It's an ideal opportunity during the summer months to once again become enchanted, spellbound, gripped and captivated with an old favourite or perhaps a new one. The Daily Telegraph Big Book Club's Reading Committee has selected the following 12 titles for the festive season from the popular Penguin series:
The Chimney Sweepers' Boy by Barbara Vine;
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess;
Delta of Venus by Anais Nin;
The Great Gatsby by F.Scott Fitzgerald;
High Fidelity by Nick Hornby;
Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez;
Mother Tongue by Bill Bryson;
My Family and Other Animals by Gerald Durrell;
On the Road by Jack Kerouac;
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey;
Perfume: The Story of a Murderer by Patrick Susskind;
and The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde.
There is also a competition to win the 12 titles, log onto www.thebigbookclub.com.au and fill in the competition entry form to go in the draw to win 1 of 4 sets. Competition closes 30 January. Good luck and happy holiday reading.
