Food For Fines at Central West Libraries

Start the New Year with a clean slate.

Do the right thing by returning overdue library books and “pay” your fines in person with donated food items to be given to charity.

It is a win for you, the library and the charity.

Central West Libraries is waiving all late fines in exchange for food which you may deliver in person to the library front desk.

From 4 January until 31 January 2011 bring in your overdue items along with non-perishable tinned or packaged food and the Library won't charge you a cent.

Central West Libraries will accept packets and cans that are:

” sealed and unopened
” within the “use by” and “best before” dates
” in good condition with packaging intact
” and do not require refrigeration.

Please tell Library staff when you bring in your library items and food donations that you wish to clear your fines. All food will be donated to local charities for them to distribute after the offer closes on 31 January.
We look forward to seeing you!
