Education officers from the State Library of NSW are visiting schools in the region and called into Orange City Library with a collection of historical treasures including a shoe buckle owned by Captain Cook; a letter written by Mary Reibey – a convict who became a well known businesswoman;  and artwork by an indigenous youth Johnny Kangatong who was encouraged to paint and draw.
