Are you ready for take-off ? The sky is the limit when it comes to what can be created at the Cowra Library story time sessions. The first session will focus on getting into literacy with easy books and rhymes with a very basic activity to finish. Story time for pre-school age children and their carers commences on Thursday 4th February at the Cowra Library and then on the first Thursday of each month at 11am. Each session includes storytelling and craft. Bookings open one week before each session, to book your place please call the Library on 6340 2180.

“Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall……” What comes next? If you would like to learn words and actions to popular nursery rhymes to teach your little ones, then come along to Baby Rhyme and Read at Orange City Library from Monday 1 February at 10.15am during the school term. Parents and carers are invited to get involved in the Baby Rhyme and Read sessions to help prepare their babies for learning to read. Babies aged from 0 to 12 months enjoy rhymes, singing and sounds to help them develop and learn. Book your place by calling the Library on 6393 8132.

Summer Reading Club participants had fun with their own “dig” discovering lost worlds and ancient relics. They also enjoyed a talk from Warren Keedle from the Age of Fishes Museum. During the holidays children explored Lost Worlds in books.

Discover Lost Worlds at Summer Reading Club Wrap Up Party

 

Discover a lost world at Orange City Library.

For ages: 5-12 on Thursday 21 January from 10am-12pm.

We shall be embarking on an archaeological dig in the library, finding hidden treasure, solving the riddles of ancient worlds.

We will also have a presentation from the Age of Fishes Museum in Canowindra.

Dress ups are encouraged and everyone who dresses up receives a prize.
Come as your favourite archaeologist – Indiana Jones, Lara Croft, Cairo Jim, Nathan Drake, Professor Henry  Jones, Howard Carter, Evelyn Carnahan…

There will be party food…let staff know if you have any food allergies.
