Storytime in the Museum

Children enjoyed visiting Orange Regional Museum today as part of our Preschooler Storytime on the Move program. While the Orange Library is temporarily closed for a makeover (Jan.26 – Feb.19) Storytime is on the move. We will be holding Orange Storytime at  11am in the Orange Regional Museum, Byng Street,  in week one (31 Jan – 2 Feb),  the Orange Civic Theatre in week two (7 – 9 Feb), and Cook Park in week three (14- 16). Bookings are required through the Eventbrite website – search Orange Library or call 6393 8120.

**Please note Storytime on Thursday 2nd February will be in the Art Gallery.

**Please note Storytime at Cook Park will be held in the north west corner – Sampson and Summer Streets (behind the Guildry).

Cowra Library Storytime

 

Cowra Library’s first story time for the year will be on Thursday 2nd February from 11am till 12 noon.  It will then be held on the first Thursday each month excluding school holidays. It is designed for pre-school aged children and their parents and carers and includes stories and craft.

Australia Day Honours

Central West Libraries manager Jan Richards has more than 40 years of service in the library sector has received the region’s highest honour as part of Australia Day celebrations. Jan Richards has been named a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to library and information management services. Congratulations Jan!

Ghost Jamming in the Library

One, two , three… Go Ghost Jam! Ooooh, Eeeeh, Aaaah! could be heard in the Library this week as children enjoyed the school holiday activity Ghost Jam! with the entertaining and amusing show by Sean Murphy mixing it up with laughs and spooky ghost stories. Thank you to all who came along.
