Library Programs Return
Library Programs return to Orange City Library for School Term 1 on Monday 4th February with 1,2 Books at 10.15am, Ten Minutes A Day at 10.45am, a repeat session of 1,2 books on Tuesday 5th, and Storytimes on Tuesday 5th Feb, Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th February at 11am.
Code Club for Beginners returns on Tuesday 5th February at 5pm.
Music For Little Ears returns on Wednesday 6th February and Friday 8th February at 10am. Please book your place online for these events through eventbrite.com.au.
Storytimes at Cowra Library return on Thursday 7th February at 11am. They are held on the first Thursday of the month during school terms. Please just come along for these sessions – no need to book and enjoy stories and craft.

Storytimes are back at Forbes Library on Friday fortnightly at 10.30am February 15th then March 1st, 15th and 29th while Birth to Kinder Rhyme Time is back on alternate Fridays at 10.30am on February 8th, 22nd, March 8th and 22nd.
Australia Day Holiday
Central West Libraries – Blayney, Canowindra, Cowra, Forbes, Manildra, Molong and Orange will be closed on Saturday 26th January and Monday 28th January for the Australia Day Holiday. Orange City Library will be open on Sunday 27 January from 1pm to 5pm. Normal hours will resume on Tuesday 29th January. Make sure you borrow enough materials – DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, magazines and books to see you through the weekend. Happy Australia Day.
BoardGames Day
It was action stations at Orange City Library for School Holiday Boardgames Day with librarian Sean leading the way playing games like Ticket to Ride, Talisman, Photosynthesis as well as the traditional Monopoly and Scrabble. It is fun for all ages. The Library has lots of games you can try within the Library during opening hours (and we are air-conditioned).

Our boardgame collection includes some classic titles like Carcassonne, Talisman and Ticket to Ride. The gaming renaissance is now! Become a renaissance gamer. Let us know you can join us via Eventbrite.
Lego Club – Monday 21st January – 10am – 12 noon
Create a fabulous world of curious creatures from LEGO. Make a stop motion animated film of your creation. Enter into the Curious Creatures Competition – create a creature from LEGO either at home with your collection, or in the library from ours. There is no charge. Ages 6-15. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult. All entries to be submitted on or before the 21st January.
Bookings are required to participate in the LEGO club on the day and the event is limited to 20 children. Please book your place online through Eventbrite. Escape Room – Tuesday 22nd Jan and Wednesday 23rd Jan – 9am to 5pm
Welcome to the Escape Room.We have a Lost Thing. Can you help it get home? We have a city filled with puzzles. Put a team together to solve them and save the Lost Thing. You have 1 hour to find the ‘right place’ for the Lost Thing and escape the room. Ages 8-16. Please book your place online through Eventbrite or call the Library on 6393 8132.
