National Simultaneous Storytime Fun

Guests at Orange City Library’s National Simultaneous Storytime met alpacas in real life after the highly entertaining shared story Alpacas With Maracas by Matt Cosgrove. The children were excited to meet Apollo and Pemberton from Hyghclere Alpacas, then dance in the library and play maracas. #NSS2019

Meet Author Amanda Hampson at Orange

Sixty Summers by Amanda Hampson

When Maggie, Fran and Rose left Australia for London in 1978, they all had strong aspirations for themselves and for each other. Now the three friends are about to turn sixty and each of them has a growing sense of dissatisfaction with their lives, as well as a feeling that time is running out to fulfil their own expectations.

They set off on a journey that will see them rediscover far-flung corners of the world, test their friendship, challenge their beliefs and redefine the third age of their lives.

Meet author Amanda Hampson when she talks about her latest book Sixty Summers at Orange City Library on Thursday 20 June at 5.30pm. Please book your place online via eventbrite.com or call the Library on 6393 8132 to help with seating and catering. It is much appreciated. Thank you.

National Simultaneous Storytime 22 May 11am

Join in the shared story of Alpacas with Maracas by Matt Cosgrove at Cowra, Forbes, Manildra, Molong and Orange Libraries on Wednesday 22 May at 11am.

Children will love the story being enjoyed by thousands of other children at the same time across Australia followed by craft.

The story features alpacas Macca and Al in a talent show. It takes them some time to work out they can play the maracas. It is a great rhyming story and very entertaining. Join in the fun and look out for VIP guests at Orange City Library.
