Free School Holiday Activity Packs
Get creating these school holidays with free take home Activity Packs from Orange City Library, Orange Regional Gallery and Orange Regional Museum. The Library pack features a Cardboard City Project where children can have fun constructing and decorating buildings, cars, trees and more from provided material. Children are also invited to build some of the Central West’s most iconic buildings for the Lego Club Holiday Challenge. Activity Packs will be ready to collect from Monday 6 July. Yes you can:
- Borrow and return items
- Use our PCs (30 minutes time limit) and access our WiFi
- Sit in the Library to study, research and read
- Use our photocopiers and printers
Newspapers, the Local Studies Room (Orange City Library) and library programs and group visits will not be available at this stage.
Orange, Cowra and Forbes Libraries will continue to open with restricted hours.

We Are Open
Hooray! We are back and we are open. You can now borrow and return books in this first phase of re-opening.
Central West Libraries has planned a staged re-opening from 1 June. Our libraries in Blayney, Canowindra, Cowra, Forbes, Manildra, Molong and Orange will provide limited services and access in this first stage of re-opening after COVID-19 restrictions were eased. Orange, Cowra and Forbes Libraries will open with restricted hours.
The first thing we will be offering is lending and returning of items. Please note that computers, printing, photocopying, Justice of the Peace, newspapers, research and studying opportunities will not be offered during this first stage.
Please note social distancing & hygiene rules will apply.
We will continue to monitor the situation and review restrictions to keep everyone safe as COVID-19 rules ease.
