Local Studies

The communities of Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra, Forbes and Orange have a rich and proud heritage. Each Branch Library holds a core collection relating to the history of their area.

More extensive Local Studies Collections are held at Blayney, Cowra and Orange Libraries.

These include:

• Serials
• Photographs
• Newspapers
• Maps

Resources in the Local Studies collection are for use in the Library only and cannot be borrowed. Some duplicate copies may be held in the lending collection.

Orange City Council’s website hosts some excellent On-Line Exhibitions that highlight features of the City’s heritage.
