Cooking Classes at the Library Fun for Upcoming Chefs

Budding chefs (dare we say Masterchefs) had a great time recently at Library Cooking Classes sponsored and run by Community Kitchen led by Rhonda Doyle including Matthew Pell (pictured) who learnt the finer points of making an omelette. If you would like try this at home, get an adult to help and follow the easy recipe.
Omelette:
Best 2 eggs,
Add 1 tablespoon of water,
Add salt and pepper/baby spinach,
Halved tiny tomatoes,
Grated cheese.
Method:
Heat frypan and coat pan with a little olive oil. Pour in egg mix and cook, flip omelette as whole piece or in pieces.

Or try this delicious Chicken Stir Fry:
Grate tablespoon of ginger and press a couple of cloves of garlic,
Saute(fry) in pan with a little olive oil,
Add diced chicken thighs or breast (thighs have a little more fat and flavour),
Set these ingredients aside in bowl. Then
slice up vegetables Asian style –
Carrots, zucchini, buk choy, mushrooms, red capsicum (very sweet and tasty), celery baby corn plus anything else that takes your fancy,
Add a little olive oil to the pan,
Add vegetables and cook (use large spoon and stir). When cooked return chicken and mix together until heated through.
Noodles – soak Asian Style noodles in hot water until soft enough to eat, strain and serve with chicken and vegies. Enjoy!
