Knit-In Wraps with Love at Orange City Library

A big thank you to everyone who called in this morning to our Knit-In to help put together knitted squares for the Wrap with Love Charity including coordinator Lisa , Trudi and Pauline, Lisa and Brooke, and Suzie (pictured above). The tally at time of publishing (I've always wanted to write that) is 1122 squares and 57 completed wraps. This is a wonderful achievement!

Brooke Daniels from ABC Local Radio was the special guest and did a great job drawing out the winning names for the prize draw and congratulating all the knitters. Prizes of books and DVDs were donated by ABC Local Radio and Orange City Library.

Lisa Maxey (pictured) from Breastscreen NSW brought along heaps of donated knitted squares and also spoke to guests reminding women they do a good job taking care of others and need to take care of themselves and have regular breast screens. The service is now conveniently located at Orange Health Service at the front left of the new hospital. Call 13 20 50 to book.

If you would like to help us put together more wraps (easy to do while watching TV) and increase the tally, please call in to collect a bag of 28 squares to sew together. Thanks again to everyone involved.
