What does the Circus and Roller Derby have in common?

Yesterday we watched a giant “big top” going up for the Great Moscow Circus performances happening right behind the Library/Art Gallery. Then a group of roller skating women visited and being curious librarians we had to ask what was going on. Roller Derby for women is a fast growing sport and the Orange League are keen to find home. Pictured are the competitors and here are their Roller Derby names: Karrissa Queen Bee Otchy, Marianne Muzza 88, Kate Robyn Zombie, Lily Sparkle Cyanide, Leanne Le' Evil Kni'Evil, Renae Holly War, Staci Kitty Knightstrider, Sarah Cherry Crusher.
They were doing a news story with the CWD. Check out the article in the Central Western Daily:

If you can assist or would like to roller derby contact the Orange Roller Derby League via email: [email protected]

And how are they connected? – these are just some of the more unusual goings on near and about the Library this week.
