The Turning by Tim Winton on ABC TV Sunday Night 9.40pm
Watch this: 17 talented Australian directors each create a chapter of the hauntingly beautiful novel (connected short stories) by multi-award winning author Tim Winton. The linking and overlapping stories explore the turning points in ordinary people’s lives in a portrait of a small coastal community. Eight chapters will screen on ABC1 on Sunday and a further 9 chapters will receive their television premiere on ABC Arts on the same night from 11pm. All 17 chapters will be available for viewing on abc.net.au/arts over the following 14 days together with additional exclusive content.
