Former Home and Away Scriptwriter launches The Wardrobe Girl
Blayney born author Jennifer Smart launches her book
Visiting author Jennifer Smart told the launch audience her book The Wardrobe Girl is set behind the scenes of a television soap with her main character’s life mirroring that of a soap opera. Jennifer’s work as a Director’s Assistant on the television show Home and Away and then scriptwriter, was used as inspiration for her debut novel.
Set among Sydney’s beaches and eastern suburbs, The Wardrobe Girl offers a fascinating backstage look at the Australian TV and film industry – think Bridget Jones lands of the set of Home and Away – and is a laugh-out-loud read.
