Soldiers in Different Armies Forbes Author Talk

Soldiers in different armies Brenda Inglis-Powell author visit photos at Forbes Library 23 July 2015 p1Author Brenda Inglis-Powell gave an entertaining talk about her mother, her family’s early days on the farm at Forbes during the early half of the 20th Century and her father’s family in Glasgow doing it tough at the same time in the Great Depression. Then spoke about his family migrating to Australia,  going off to war and coming back to marry and start a family in Queensland – then the children returning for school holiday visits to their Grandmother in Forbes in the 1950s and 1960s. The Forbes Family History Group and some of our elder residents were able to provide her with helpful information to further her family history research. Thank you to all who came along.
