The search for the missing Platypus – Freeda – continues

Colour City Dragon Boat team members took time out at training last night to search the Lake for missing Freeda.  A couple of sightings have buoyed hopes that Central West Libraries platypus Freeda the Reader will return home soon. Hundreds of super sleuths are scouring the Central West for Freeda as part of the Summer Read Challenge that has children of all ages putting their  code breaking, interview and spy skills to the test.  Cowra Children are invited to join the School Holiday Summer Reading event being run at Cowra Library on Thursday, January 16 from 11am to 1pm after rumours Freeda was spotted in their town.  While children over 9 years of age can take the spy mission challenge at Orange City Library on Thursday 16 January from 10.30am – 11.30am.

One of the Summer Reading Club challenges is to write about what adventures Freeda the Reader may have enjoyed during her time away from the Library. She has already been spotted reading a map, carrying luggage, cruising a waterway or two, all giving clues to her current mission. Where could she be? and what is she up to?
