Places available. Join in a Song Writing Workshop this school holidays with local music tutor Ken Smith. Ken teaches ukulele at the Orange Regional Conservatorium. So bring along your on your ukulele (if you have one, and if you don’t – that’s okay) and learn about music and lyrics. For ages 8 – 11 years. Goodbye winter and keep on knitting. Our Orange Purlers will continue to meet through the warmer months to continue their support for the Wrap With Love charity. We are hosting a  a morning tea to thank our knitting volunteers for their contribution to the Wrap With Love cause including:

  • knitters, both those who knit at home and the Purlers, who meet in the Library
  • those who sew the squares together
  • those who attach the Wrap With Love labels
  • those who donate yarn

Everyone involved is invited to come along  on Thursday 9 October at 10.30am.

Audio-Read Navigators are here. If you are vision impaired and would like to listen to books with an easy to use device then ask us about Navigators. They are not much bigger than a remote control, provide quality sound and there are plenty of books that can be uploaded to the device.

If you are interested in using a navigator or know someone who may benefit from it, please contact the Library on 6393 8132.

Canowindra Pre-School students visited their local library in Gaskill Street during the week for a special Storytime excursion. And Year 6 Canowindra Public School students were introduced to the Library and all given their own library bags, bookmarks and membership forms. They discovered many resources perfect for helping with school assignments. We look forward to seeing you all soon – in the Library!
