Seniors Week: Older Wiser Safer Seminars
Do you know how to protect yourself from scams? Stay physically safe? Recognise elder abuse? Be financially secure? Obtain a Power of Attorney? Improve communication or pursue mediation?
We will have a panel of experts to help you understand all these issues with practical information and handy hints to live a full, happy and secure life hosted by the Central West Region Collaborative for the Prevention of Abuse of Older People.
The experts include solicitor Jill Marshall from Legal Aid NSW, Aged Crime Prevention Officer Melissa Smith, Adjunct Professor Sue Field, Financial Information Services Officer Christine Wright and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner Relationships Australia Jane Atkinson.
There will be two sessions held at Orange City Library on Wednesday 21 April at:
10.45am for morning tea, 11am – 12noon presentation
And
5.15pm for afternoon tea, 5.30pm – 6.30pm presentation.

Meg Keneally Author Visit
You are invited to meet bestselling author Meg Keneally when she visits Cowra Library Tuesday 30 March at 10am and Orange City Library at 1pm to talk about her latest historical fiction book The Wreck.

Harmony Day Storytimes
Harmony Day’s message “Everyone Belongs” reinforces the importance of inclusiveness. Join us to celebrate with three special guests at our Orange City Library 11am Storytimes reading Where Happiness Hides, by Anthony Bertini and local illustrator Jennifer Goldsmith, in English as well as Telugu, Japanese and Spanish. Telugu is a language spoken in southern India.
Tues March 16: Telugu
Wed March 17: Japanese
Thurs March 18: Spanish

The new Libby App is here! We have changed how you access RBdigital audiobooks, ebooks and magazines. To access items on our new platform you will need to download the ‘Libby’ App to your device. The Libby App is available Free from Apple and Google Play
Remember to select ‘Central West Libraries’ as your library.

You will still have access to all the great audiobooks and even more ebooks, bestsellers, new releases and magazines available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Enjoy!
IWD Library Up Late Monday 8 March
What are you doing to mark International Women’s Day this year? Join the conversation with Orange City Councillor Joanne McRae at our first Orange City Library Up Late event for 2021.
We will have a talk and discussion with Cr McRae about women in politics and her experience, followed by two short documentaries and refreshments on Monday 8 March from 7pm to 9pm.
