Reading with young children is likely to be the single most important activity to develop a child's future literacy skills. Let's Read is an initiative to promote reading with young children 0-5 years and recently the program partners: Smith Family, Orange City Council Playgroups, Schools As Communitiies, Central West Playgroups and Brighter Futures, Benevolent Society gathered for the project launch at Orange City Library. Here are some more photos from the day including local politicians (pictured State Member for Orange Andrew Gee, Federal Member for Calare John Cobb, Orange Mayor Cr Davis, Orange City Councillor Fiona Rossiter) who presented reading packs to families containing books, literacy information and library membership forms:
