Fleur McDonald Author and Passionate Farmer

Author Fleur McDonald talks about her passion for farming

Author Fleur McDonald talks about her passion for farming

“I didn’t want to be another love behind the haystack author,” Fleur McDonald said at the launch for her latest book Crimson Dawn. When her first book Red Dust was published she realised she held a privileged position and could bring the joy of farming – hearing the rain on a tin roof or the heartache – feeding animals day in and day out – and bring to life the world of farming.  Fleur has become one of Australia’s leading female rural literature authors, with her books becoming bestsellers almost as quickly as they hit the shelves. Her stories are set in rural Australia and feature strong female characters and solid, no nonsense, country men.  Fleur’s author talk and book launch was supported by Collins Booksellers, Orange. #nswpubliclibraries
