Storytime Fridays at Forbes Library
Storytime returns to Forbes Library on Friday 12 February at 10.30am during school terms and Forbes Library Birth to Kinder program makes a welcome return on alternate Fridays at 10.30am.
There is a wealth of evidence to show that children can benefit from someone reading aloud to them:
- Books bring variety to the way we communicate.
- Books enhance language development and develop a child’s imagination.
- Reading is fun and is a special bonding activity between a parent and child.
- Children that grow up in a book rich environment are more likely to associate reading with pleasure and to later become successful readers themselves.
Join us for Storytime and Birth to Kinder programs at Forbes Library on Fridays at 10.30am. Please book your place online via eventbrite or call the Library on 6852 1463. See you soon!
Cowra Library Storytime Returns
Storytime caters for preschool age children and their carers. It helps them prepare for school with children practising listening, communication and social skills. It is free and each session lasts approximately half an hour.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to allow the event to run on time. The storyteller and audience are disrupted by people arriving late. And please bring your enthusiasm, but leave your mobile phone in your bag turned off or down. Thank you.
