Library Programs are Back
With news that the lockdown for Blayney, Cabonne and Orange Local Government Areas will be lifted, most CWL programs will resume from tomorrow – Wednesday 28 July.

Blayney, Cabonne, Orange Libraries Closed
Please be advised due to the current lockdown in Blayney, Orange and Cabonne Local Government Areas, libraries in Blayney, Canowindra, Manildra, Molong and Orange will be closed for the next 7 days. Cowra and Forbes Libraries are open.
CWL online services – Story Box Library, audiobooks, magazines, Beamafilms, Kanopy, Kanopy Kids are available online 24/7 via the website: www.cwl.nsw.gov.au.
Library programs planned for the next 7 days will not be going ahead – this includes Orange and Canowindra Storytimes, Music For Little Ears, 1,2 Books, Ten Minutes a Day, Orange Purlers, Orange Family History Group, Code Club, and Lego Club.
If you have library items due, please call us on 6393 8132 to renew them for you. Any reservations will be available for collection after the lockdown ends.

Literacy Programs Return to Central West Libraries
We are re-invigorating our libraries with real life events. First up will be our baby, toddler and pre-school programs – Ten Minutes a Day; 1,2 Books; and Storytime. Music For Little Ears, Inklings Book Club and Code Club will follow soon, and Lego Club will be held on the last Monday of the month at Orange City Library. More events are also also planned for our branches.

Storytime also returns to Forbes Library on Fridays at 10.30am with Candice from 12th February. On alternate Fridays enjoy Forbes Birth to Kinder Rhyme Time returning 5th February 2021. Register 6852 1463.
At Cowra Library Storytime returns every Thursday from 11 February at 10.30am to 11am with Stassi. Register 6340 2180.

Orange City Library Programs Return
Literacy Programs are returning to Orange City Library from Monday 20 July for School Term 3. Hygiene and social distancing restrictions will be in place according to NSW Health COVID-19 Guidelines. Programs returning are Ten Minutes a Day, 1,2 Books, Storytime and Pageturners Book Discussion Group. Please book your place online via eventbrite or call the Library on 6393 8132. 1,2 Books
Monday 3rd February & Tuesday 4th February
When: Every Monday & Tuesday 10.15 – 10.45am during school term
Ages: 1 – 2
Each session includes rhymes, action songs, finger plays and stories in an interactive way for parents and carers to introduce little ones age 1-2 years, to the fun of sharing nursery rhymes, action songs and stories. Sessions are lively and stimulating for both babies and parents. There is a limit of 15 to these sessions.
Ten Minutes a Day
Monday 3rd February
When: Every Monday 10.45 – 11.15am during school term
Ages 0 – 1
Ten Minutes a Day is an exciting programme to help you to develop your baby’s pre-literacy skills and get them on the right track for reading and language development.
Storytime
Tuesday 4th February, Wednesday 5th February and Thursday 6th February
11am
Ages: 3 – 5
Storytimes at Orange City Library are lots of fun. We read stories, sing songs, play games and do craft. They are held during the school term and cater for preschool children and their carers. Storytime is free and each session lasts approximately one hour. Tuesday’s programme (book and craft) is repeated on Wednesday and Thursday.
Bookings are essential. There is a limit of 25 to these sessions.
Music for Little Ears
Wednesday 5th February and Friday 7th February
When: 6 weeks each school term on Wednesday and Friday, 10.00—10.20am
Ages: 2 – 5
Sessions initiate little ears to classical music, singing, percussion, dancing and musical games. In partnership with the Orange Regional Conservatorium.
Bookings are essential. There is a limit of 20 to these sessions.
