Libraries are open

Cowra Library now joins all Central West Libraries branches – Blayney, Canowindra, Forbes, Manildra, Molong and Orange in being open. Usual opening hours have returned.

Library programs have also returned with Storytime, 1,2 Books, Music For Little Ears, Orange Purlers and Pageturners at Orange City Library. Be Connected and Code Club are on their way.

Join us at Canowindra Library tomorrow 7 October at 11am for the return of Storytime.

At Forbes Library Storytime returns on Friday 8 October at 10.30am, alternating with Birth to Kinder Rhyme Time on Friday 15th October.

At Cowra Library – we are introducing 1,2 Books on Wednesday 13 October at 10.30am, and Cowra Library Storytime returns on Thursday 14 October at 10.30am.

Please check our event listings for details. And please clearly indicate the total number of people who will be attending events including adults and children. Thank you & see you soon.

Holiday Monday

Please stock up on Library items to get you through the long weekend. Our Libraries in Blayney, Canowindra, Cowra, Forbes, Manildra, Molong and Orange will be closed on Monday 4th October for the Labour Holiday Weekend. Usual hours resume on Tuesday (we hope too for Cowra Library). See you then!

Cowra Library Currently Closed

Due to the Cowra LGA Stay-at-Home Orders extended for 7 days, Cowra Library will be temporarily closed for this time. If you wish to collect your reserved Library items, please give a us a call on 6340 2180 to arrange pickup. And online access to school holiday activities (Lockdown Luckykdip and Quiz), Story Box Library, ebooks, emagazines and eaudiobooks, Kanopy Kids, Kanopy movies and Beamafilm are available 24/7.

Orange City Library is Open

Orange City Library joins Blayney, Canowindra, Forbes, Manildra and Molong Libraries in being open. Usual hours have resumed. Please note Cowra Library is currently closed due to the NSW Pubic Health Stay-at-Home Orders. There is a “Click, Call & Collect” service available by phoning 6340 2180.

At Orange we have lots of reservations ready for collection, new books to show you, rejigged computers ready for use, and a big change to our collection that will please children and carers!!! Something for everyone!! So call in and visit us. We can’t wait to see you and help with your next reading, listening, or watching materials, questions, free WiFi or research. Our online services including Lockdown Lucky Dip Children’s Activities are open 24/7.

Orange City Library Opening Hours: Mon – Fri 9am – 7pm; Sat – 9.30am – 4pm; Sun – 1pm – 5pm.

Orange City Library to Reopen

And we are back! (Just waiting for news on Cowra Library).

The NSW Public Health Stay-at-Home orders lift for Orange LGA at midnight Thursday 23 September. Orange City Library will reopen from Monday 27 September at 9am. It joins our OPEN libraries at Blayney, Canowindra, Forbes, Manildra and Molong. Please note signing-in, mask wearing, physical distancing and hygiene rules still apply.

At Orange we have stacks of book reservations to be collected, new books to check out, a rejigged computer layout, and an exciting change in our collection that children and carers will love!!! So come and see us, remember your library card and we look forward to welcoming you!

Cowra Library is currently closed due to NSW Public Health Orders. A Click and Collect Service is available for reserved items. Please call Cowra Library on 6340 2180 for further details.
